Following 84 year-old self-proclaimed “warrior” Jean Hill and her battle to ban the sale of single-serve plastic water bottles, Divide in Concord sheds light on the world’s largest landfill, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, and the divide in Concord, Massachusetts over the sale of bottled water. Faced with much opposition, including critics who claim the ban would be un-American and an attack on freedom in the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence, Jean attempts to incite an environmental movement and spark local change.

The Watchlist’s Brigitte Truong caught up with Divide in Concord director Kris Kaczor to discuss the film.
