It was another violent weekend in Hong Kong and the new week begins with a stalemate between demonstrators and police at a university campus. Hundreds of protestors are trapped on the campus. Late Monday, police were able to fight off a charge of demonstrators using rubber bullets and tear gas. Earlier in the day, police raised the possibility of using live ammunition to bring the months of protests to an end. The protesters are seeking independence for Hong Kong from central China.They are now trapped on the university campus and can’t get out. Many arrests have already taken place.
