Honest Ed’s turns 67 and to celebrate the discount store’s birthday, people lined up outside to be the first for the deals and everything was a deal. From groceries to shoes everything was 67 cents. Ed Mirvish passed away in 2007 and his son David Mirvish has sold Honest Ed’s to a Vancouver developer who plans to transform the discount store into a high rise with 1000 rental units.
