She was last seen alive back in 2006, but her disappearance wasn’t reported to Hamilton police until last year. Police believe Nuseiba Hasan may have been the victim of foul play and now the homicide unit is investigating.

The last place anyone saw 36 year old Nuseiba Hasan was at the Hasan family farm. No one has seen or heard from her in ten years. She was dropped off one night and gone by the next morning. Hasan is originally from Jordan, her family bought a 55 acre farm years ago, along with other properties in the region. Police said the family also owns other property in Jordan and Hasan is known to travel back and forth. During their investigation, police learned Hasan was a student at Fanshaw college in London but didn’t attend regularly.

So why did it take police so long to launch their investigation? The family is rather large, there are nine people in total. Nuseiba herself has ties in Canada and in Jordan. Her father passed away several years ago, her mother is there along with several of her family members.

“We’ve been contacting other countries. Jordan, the Middle East, family members. We’ve had great cooperation from some family members and not so much from others.”

The home no longer belongs to the Hasan family. It has been vacant for several year. Forensic investigators were inside the home today and a ground search will be conducted Monday.
