The Big Short

Adam McKay’s award winning film about the 2008 financial crisis gets a blu-ray release packed with five medium length featurettes – “In the Tranches: Casting”, “The Big Leap: Adam McKay”, “Unlikely Heroes: The Characters of The Big Short”, “The House of Cards: The Rise of the Fall”, and “Getting Real: Recreating an Era” – and five deleted or extended scenes.

Brooklyn

Fresh off of two wins at the Canadian Screen AwardsBrooklyn gets a home video release that features a feature length audio commentary from director John Crowley, eleven deleted scenes, and six promotional featurettes profiling the cast, story, and making of the film. Check back with us later this week for a Brooklyn blu-ray giveaway!

There are eighteen deleted and extended scenes included on this release. Eighteen! Unfortunately they didn’t make an unedited version of the film with these clips reinserted, so you’ll have to watch them individually. However there is audio commentary for the feature from Fey and Poehler plus director Jason Moore and writer Paula Pell which should provide some laughs. Also included are the requisite gag reel and eight featurettes.
