Home Video & Netflix Releases // May 30
While the home video offerings this week are a little underwhelming, there’s a lot to look forward to on the streaming side including a new season of House of Cards and recent releases like Doctor Strange and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Opening a week after The LEGO Batman Movie and Fifty Shades Darker, Fist Fight didn’t stand much of a chance at the box office. The Ice Cube and Charlie Day starring comedy took in just $41M worldwide in its 8 week run and received a pathetic 27% Rotten Tomato score. The only supplemental features on the Blu-ray release are some deleted scenes.

Ry Russo-Young’s adaptation of Lauren Oliver’s novel had a similarly tough opening, going up against X-Men heavyweight Logan. It did receive pretty favourable reviews (66% on Rotten Tomatoes) and brought in close to $14M, which doesn’t sound like a lot, but is probably enough to cover the budget for this type of drama. Unfortunately the home video package comes up empty in the special feature department.
