The former head of the Canadian military has been tapped by the Ford government to oversee Ontario’s massive Covid-19 vaccine distribution.

Premier Doug Ford says Hillier was chosen for the job because rolling out new COVID vaccines will take an expert in logistics.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says the province will receive 1.6 million doses of Pfizer’s new vaccine and 800 000 doses of Moderna’s vaccine next year.
