A New York woman who was “heartbroken” over Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump, went for her daily hike and ran into the former presidential candidate herself.

Margot Gerster, with her daughter on her back, was trekking along a trail when she ran into Hillary and Bill Clinton.

Gerster told CNN, “She was very warm and you know she asked me about my daughter, obviously, and where I was from and it was just very pleasant.” She continued, “She was taking a nice peaceful walk through the woods, I don’t think she wanted to talk serious politics.”

Gerster admits that once she recognized the couple she immediately started grinning and had a “fan-girling” moment. She said she told Clinton that it was one of her “proudest moments as a mother” to take her daughter with her to vote for Clinton.
