Man, 19, dead following crash on Highway 6 in Hamilton

A fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 6 in Hamilton has claimed the life of a 19-year-old.

Provincial police say they were called to part of Highway 6 near White Church Road around 9:45 a.m. after receiving a report of a crash involving a motorcycle.

Upon their arrival, emergency crews located the driver and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities say the 19-year-old was the lone occupant of the motorcycle.

The cleanup and investigation into the crash took around five hours, and had a span of Highway 6 near White Church Road closed for several hours. It has since reopened.
