Tense scenes near Belleville as police arrested several protesters who had erected a blockade on Tyendinaga Mohawk territory.

The protests crippled passenger and freight train traffic in Ontario for weeks as the group stood in solidarity with anti-pipeline protests in northern B.C and demonstrations in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs have set up camp on the rails between Aldershot GO and Hamilton GO.
