High speed rollover leaves man dead

A Mississauga man identified as 27-year-old Alizeb Mirza is dead after a high speed crash on the 401 in Mississauga early this morning.

Witnesses say two vehicles were traveling together at a high rate of speed in the westbound collector lanes near Hwy 410 when one lost control.

The driver was thrown from his vehicle as it rolled several times into the ditch between the collector and express lanes.  He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Police are continuing to search for the other vehicle, which did not stop.

OPP were already planning a seatbelt safety blitz to start tomorrow.
