We’re learning more about a random stabbing yesterday on a school bus outside St. Thomas More high school that sent one student to hospital.

After hearing from Hamilton police, the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District Board and witnesses, at the end of the school day at the back of a school bus a 16 year old boy stabbed a 17 year old boy, who friends say is named Nick, in the leg.

The attacker was taken in by the vice principal and staff until police arrived. Nick was treated and released from hospital. Police arrested the attacker and charged him with assault with a weapon. The 16-year old is known to police and was also charged with breaching a court-ordered condition to not possess a weapon.
