High school grad at 14

A young high school student is making Hamilton history. He’s set to become the youngest graduate ever in the city’s public district and at 14 years old he’s already lined up to attend university this fall.

“I don’t feel any different than the regular high school student. I just spent a little less time in high school and I can focus on the stuff I really like in University.”

After fast tracking through courses at Westmount Secondary School Andy Medjedvic graduated in 2 years and was accepted to his top choice University.

At 14, Andy is the youngest student to graduate from the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. In his free time he also competes in coding competitions, math club and help found the school’s chess club, which has won back to back provincial championships.
