High level of compliance for Hamilton’s mandatory mask by-law

Three days into Hamilton’s mandatory mask bylaw, the city says they haven’t fined anyone for not complying.

The head of the bylaw department says Hamiltonians are generally following the rules.

The city is also commenting on a declining number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Public health is attributing this to people actually residing in a different jurisdiction, people being counted twice because they’ve been re-tested and some false positives.
