Hi-tech drug organization busted

Halton police say they’ve disrupted and possibly dismantled, a major drug trafficking network that had been operating throughout the region. Cocaine, pot, cars, guns and vehicles were seized. And tonight, 15 people are facing numerous charges.

Police say it was a tip from a member of the public that got this investigation started eight months ago. It revealed a network of drug traffickers who were well entrenched in the drug culture in Halton region, Toronto and Hamilton.

Flanked by heavily armed officers Halton police rolled out 150 thousand dollars in cash, 2.5 kilograms of cocaine, 150 pounds of pot, along with guns seized on Monday.
