Hess St. takedown

A very visible takedown in downtown Hamilton over the weekend.

Armed police officers surrounded a car on King Street near Hess Village on January 24, shortly before 12:30am.

Tactical officers could be seen pointing assault riffles inside a blue Pontiac Sunfire. One of the occupants inside the vehicle was identified as being ‘Wanted’ for unrelated criminal offences.

During the search of the vehicle a number of items were discovered leading to additional criminal charges.

Found and seized were:
– Loaded sawed off shotgun
– Stun gun
– Pellet gun
– 5 grams of Methampetamine
– Small amount of marijuana

Charged are:
– Jessy Stainthorp – 41 years old – Hamilton
– Kathleen McKenna – 33 years old – Hamilton
– Melanie Daniels – 29 years old – Hamilton

They are facing a number of weapons and drug related charges.
