Head-on crash closes Burlington road

(Updated) A section of Upper Middle Road in Burlington was closed for several hours following a serious two-car crash overnight resulting in critical injuries.

One car rolled over onto its roof after two o’clock this morning. Another vehicle struck a tree in the median.

A man was trapped in one of the cars and was freed by firefighters. He was taken to Hamilton General Hospital in critical condition.

The woman driving the flipped car walked away.

Upper Middle Road has reopened between Headon Forest Drive and Upland Drive.
