‘Hazardous’ driving conditions expected for Hamilton, Halton, Niagara

Motorists should expect a messy commute Friday with heavy snow expected to continue well into the morning.

Environment Canada says Hamilton, Halton and Niagara regions could see up to 10 cm of accumulation.

The snow will be heavy at times and could cause hazardous winter driving conditions.

The weather agency says surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Drivers are being reminded to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
