The Hawk in Burlington

It was a homecoming of sorts for music legend Ronnie Hawkins Friday night.

The Hawk took the stage in Burlington as part of his “Intimate Evening Tour”. It’s the first of a six show tour which features Hawkins playing some of his best known hits and also a sit down “Q and A” where he shares some amusing tales from his career. And it all started in Hamilton in 1958.

While Hawkins is from Arkansas, he was recently awarded the Order of Canada. Also during the night’s show, Lawrence Gowan played a few songs and offered a tribute to the music legend.
