It’s been a long time coming, but we are now into the final week of the federal election campaign, and Stephen Harper is trying to defy the polls and win a fourth term as prime minister.

During today’s event in Waterloo, Harper invited a family onstage and had them throw money on a table to the sounds of a cash register ringing. The demonstration was intended to show what Liberal policies would do to the family’s pocketbook.

CHCH’s Lisa Hepfner will have more on the start of the final week of the campaign tonight on the Evening News at 6.
