Harper gov’t getting ready to force AirCan strikers back to work
Its only the first day of the labour dispute between Air Canada and its union, and already the federal government is getting involved.
Nearly 4,000 Air Canada staffers walked off the job just after midnight Monday. The Harper government says it will table legislation ordering striking employees back to work in the next two days, if the two sides don’t reach a deal. Adam Atkinson shows us if the strike had any impact on air travel.
