In Niagara the warmer weather wasn’t an issue for the man known as ‘Surfing Santa’.

In his annual effort, the ‘Surfing Santa’ raised awareness and helped the homeless in the region.

What started out as a marketing campaign for his wind surfing camp, John Fulton or, ‘Surfing Santa,’ uses his yearly journey across the Niagara River to encourage people to contribute rarely-donated items

In 2015, ‘Surfing Santa’ collected 2000 socks with only two bins. (surfing santa helps us to focus on remember and reach out to those who really do have a need)

Under the supervision of the niagara police marine unit and U.S. Border Control, Santa embarked on his 5km trek across the river.
