Hamilton’s inaugural council meeting date moved for more attendees

The City of Hamilton has moved the city’s inaugural council meeting to Nov. 16 to allow for more attendees.
The inauguration will also be moved from city hall to the Hamilton Convention Centre.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with 250 seats available on a first come, first served basis. The inaugural council meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Mayor-elect Andrea Horwath has thanked the city for making the meeting more accessible – the inauguration is free to attend and community members will be able to watch Hamilton’s mayor and members of council be sworn in for the 2022-26 term.
It will also be broadcasted and posted on the City of Hamilton’s YouTube channel following the event.
