Hamilton’s Donut Monster finds new owners, will remain open

A specialty bakery and coffee shop in Hamilton has found new owners and will stay open.

Donut Monsters’ co-owners announced on Instagram yesterday that the Locke Street South shop will no longer be closing on April 20.

The sweet news comes weeks after its co-owners announced it would be closing its doors after a 10-year run.

“The new owners are a partnership between the operators of a beloved community focused small cafe brand from Nova Scotia and Hamilton based individuals with a wealth of experience in the coffee and cafe industry,” Donut Monster Hamilton wrote on its Instagram page.

No further details have been shared about the new owners.

Donut Monster said the “outpouring of love and support from the community since the news [of the impending closure] has been incredible.”
