A telephone outage at the City of Hamilton, including the COVID-19 hotline has been resolved. Word of the outage came Saturday morning as many people over the age of 85, or their representatives, were calling the number to book appointments for their shots. Unfortunately, an automated message said the number was ‘not assigned.’ Shortly after 11 Saturday morning, the City of Hamilton announced the issue has been resolved and the number – 905-974-9848 – is up and running. Seniors aged 85 and older will begin receiving vaccinations tomorrow when the clinic opens at St. Joseph’s Healthcare West 5th campus. But, they must have an appointment.
