Hamilton’s 11th Murder Victim Identified

Police have now identified Hamilton’s eleventh murder victim of the year as 20-year-old Amy Hager.

Originally from Brampton, she lived with her boyfriend Shaun Chiasson at 907 King St. East, near Sherman Ave., where her body was found on Monday.

Police initially arrived at the scene in response to reports of a man with serious injuries.

Chiasson was known to police and his injuries aroused suspicions.  An hour later Hager’s body was found in the couple’s third floor apartment.

39-year old Chiasson was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery and was later formally charged with second-degree murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
