Hamiltonians take in the sun

From pitching a tent to picnicing to paddling, the warm weather had people flocking to Christies Lake Conservation Area.
“It’s a beautiful day out here and it’s nice to get out of the city, get out of the house and come get wet with the kids. Have a good time,” said one visitor.
Whether it’s the first time here or you’re a Christies regular, there’s plenty to do.
“I bring the kids three times a week. We bring the dogs, hit the back trail, usually go fishing once or twice a week, then hit the trails once or twice,” said a mother visiting the area.
Especially since we’ve waited so long for the nice weather, many people are taking advantage of it.
“We swim and we borrow canoes and paddle boards and we just have fun,” said another visitor to the conservation area.
Whether it be walking the dog, reading a book or building sand castles, the sun had everyone in a great mood.
