Hamilton woman facing impaired driving charges

On May 12, just after 1:00am, Hamilton Police officers went to the area of Barton Street East and Melrose Avenue to investigate a single motor vehicle collision.

During the investigation and upon speaking with the driver, the officer could smell the odour of an alcoholic beverage on the woman’s breath.

The woman’s vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded.

The 26 year old woman from Hamilton was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the police station for breath tests of which she failed.

She will appear in court at a later date.
