Police seized over $500,000 in stolen goods

The Hamilton Police and Waterloo Regional Police Service operated in a joint project which lead to arrests and seizure of over $500 000 in stolen property.

On February 9, Detectives from the Hamilton Police B.E.A.R Unit and Waterloo Regional Police Service Break and Enter Team executed search warrants at three locations in relation to ongoing property crime investigations that have been taking place over the past few months.

Police identified two suspects involved in property related crimes that were primarily targeting high value heavy equipment, construction equipment and trailers.

Search warrants were executed at:

204 Orkney Road, Lynden Ontario
1990 Concession 2 West, Lynden Ontario
2016 Concession 2 West, Lynden Ontario

With the search warrants, police seized a large quantity of suspected stolen property estimated over $500,000. Police believe there are still $200,000 worth of stolen property outstanding.

Charged are:

Grant William Burlie – 21 year from Lynden Ontario

Kurtis DeBoer – 18 year  from Lynden Ontario
