The ‘annual occupation declarations’ were meant to start in January as a measure to address the housing crisis in the city.
Anyone who keeps a home vacant for more than 183 days will now have to pay an extra one per cent on their property taxes.
Updates on the new deadlines will be shared following a council meeting in the New Year.
