Hamilton Tim Hortons’ customers caught in snow plow fight

Local TikToker Michael Finch told CHCH News that while he was getting his morning coffee, a Bobcat dumped two piles of snow at the beginning and end of the drive-thru.
Finch says, “as I approached the window there was a pile of snow there, a second vehicle pulled in behind…” That driver told Finch that a guy on a bobcat just dumped a pile of snow at the beginning of the Tim Hortons drive-thru as well.
The two cars were then trapped between two mountains of snow. Finch got out and decided to TikTok about his predicament.
Finch says commenters on the video said, “they let me know there was a conflict between the maintenance plow crew and the neighbour next door. They had damaged the fence and no one wanted to pay for it.”

The owner of the Tim Hortons at Upper James and Airport Road wouldn’t go on camera but explained to CHCH News what happened. He acknowledged this fence was damaged but said Tim Hortons doesn’t have anything to do with snow removal on the property and that he’s just renting space in the building.
The owner says that around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday a worker at a construction site took it upon himself to get revenge for the fence and dumped the two loads of snow on the drive-thru trapping the two cars.
Finch says he hopped this curb with his car once he realized he wasn’t getting around the mountains of snow. He doesn’t know what the car behind him did but he heard from staff at Tim Hortons later that it took a couple of hours for the mountains of snow to be removed.
The Tim Hortons owner is still upset because he had to close his business for at least an hour that morning. CHCH News reached out to Sonoma Homes and they say they didn’t know about the incident.
