Hamilton teens charged after 2 cars caught racing

Hamilton police say a pair of teenagers were been arrested after a two cars were seen racing down a city street.
Officers were in the area of Main St. East and King St. East around 7 p.m. Sunday. They heard the sounds of engines racing and spotted a blue Subaru BRZ and black Chevrolet Cobalt travelling at a high rate of speed on Main St.
The cars were pulled over and two 18-year-old men were charged with race a motor vehicle.
Both drivers had their license suspended and vehicles impounded for seven days.
The men are scheduled to appear in court on May 13.
