Police investigating after Hamilton teen shot in foot in east end

Hamilton Police are investigating after a teen was shot in the east end overnight.

A 17-year-old boy was found near Dunsmure Rd. and Tragina Ave. N with a gunshot wound to the foot around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Officers blocked off the area to investigate. Reports from the scene suggest a shell casing was found in the driveway of a home.

Police say a dark coloured sedan was spotted leaving the area and may be involved.

This is the third time this week Hamilton Police have been called to shootings.

On Sunday, officers responded to two separate shootings in the north end.
