Hamilton shooting suspects arrested by Toronto police

Two men wanted in connection to a shooting in Hamilton earlier this month have been arrested in Toronto.

Donovan Hines, 19, and Akua Page, 18, are facing several charges after they were tracked down by Toronto police.

The men are two of three people allegedly involved in a shooting at an apartment building near Barton and Emerald streets on Mar. 5.

Police were called to the area around 7:30 p.m. and found a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, a gun was also found at the scene.

Police say the victim went to the apartment building to meet up with two men and a woman. It’s alleged the man put up a fight when the trio attempted to steal his cell phone and he was shot.

A 17-year-old girl was previously charged in connection with the incident.
