Hamilton sees two stabbings overnight

(Updated) Hamilton Police responded to two separate stabbings overnight.
The first happened outside a house on Wilson Street in Ancaster at around 1:30 am.
The victim was a 19-year-old man who was stabbed in the leg. He was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital but is expected to recover.
Reports say Ryan Spera, 22, of Hamilton is charged with assaulting a police officer and uttering a death threat.
The second stabbing happened about half-an-hour later in Hess Village.
Police say it happened outside the Konoba nightclub following an argument.
The victim is a 25-year-old man from Toronto. He suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Police say his injuries are not life-threatening. So far police haven’t made any arrests.
Editor’s Note: Since the original posting, Hamilton Police have confirmed the charges against Mr Spera. He was not charged with assault causing bodily harm.
