A Hamilton man who works at a local elementary school is facing child pornography charges in connection with a student who is under the age of six.
Paul Goodman, 49, was arrested on Monday and charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography and making child pornography available.
Goodman works as an education assistant at St. Ann Catholic Elementary School on Barton St. in Hamilton.
Police say he is also a scout leader with Scouts Canada.
The charges stem from an investigation that was launched after police received a referral from the National Child Exploitation Crime Centre.
Officers executed a search warrant on March 24 which led to the seizure of computer devices.
On Monday, investigators discovered evidence of child pornography and identified the victim as a child under the age of six who attends the school where Goodman is employed.
