Hamilton school closed for the day

Sherwood Secondary School was closed for the day after Hamilton firefighters responded for a call about a strange odour.

An investigation determined that it came from work some welders were doing in the basement.

There was no smoke or fire, but huge fans were brought in to clear out the smell.

The Hamilton school board says Sherwood will re-open Tuesday at the usual time.
