Hamilton rope rescue

A woman has been taken to hospital, after she went over the escarpment in Hamilton.

Emergency crews had to perform a rope rescue to pull her to safety. It happened near West 5th and James Mountain Road around noon Thursday. She was trapped about 30 metres down the escarpment for more than an hour. There’s no word yet on the extent of her injuries.
