Hamilton rope rescue

Hamilton firefighters rescued a teen from a wooded area of the Niagara Escarpment.

The young man was partying with his friends by the escarpment.

He became stranded and too drunk to make his way back up to the top.

That’s when firefighters were called.

They made contact with him shortly after 1:30 Monday morning and began rigging in order to repel down to the area where he was trapped.

The teen was then brought up in a basket.
