Hamilton Road2Hope marathon weekend wraps up

Hamilton’s Road2Hope race weekend wrapped up on Sunday after the half and full marathon.

The 21k and 42k marathons started at Confederation Park and ran along the Waterfront Trail.

Organizers say around 1500 people participated in the half marathon, while 700 participated in the full marathon.

On Saturday, runners of all ages participated as the kids 1k, 5k, and 10k races took place.

Organizers say the event raises money for a variety of local charities.
