Hamilton Public Library waiving fees to end of 2021

The Hamilton Public Library is making changes to its fine policies.
The library will be waiving all fines and fees accumulated between Mar. 15, 2020 and Dec. 31, 2021.
It’s the library’s way of ensuring access and giving users a “fresh start” as it gradually reopens from the pandemic.
Fines and fees on materials for children and teens have been eliminated permanently.
“HPL is your library. Now, everyone can equally access the library,” says Paul Takala, Chief Librarian.
While branches are still closed, the library has been offering curbside pickup at certain locations.
