Hamilton power outage

Some residents in the western of downtown Hamilton will be waking up to no power this morning

Horizon Utilities says a limited power outage is currently affecting the area bounded by Dundurn, Hunter, Queen and Florence streets.

Horizon says it’s unsure of the cause, but crews are working to restore power.

More than 1,400 customers are affected, and traffic lights are out, which could cause problems along Queen and Main Streets through the area as the rush hour gets underway.

Horizon anticipates power should be restored by 7:30 a.m.
