Hamilton police busted a major marijauna operation on Tuesday.

Police seized more than 16 hundred plants, worth about $1.6 million, in what they call a sophisticated grow op.

It was located in the basement and on the first floor of a house on Richmond Crescent in Stoney Creek.

Police also confiscated $1,500 worth of street ready marihuana and cash.

A 30 year old Woodbridge man will appear in court July 6th.

Police believe that further arrests and charges are expected.
