Man shot in head in Hamilton’s first homicide of 2022

Hamilton police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in the head on Sunday evening.

Investigators have released few details about the incident that happened just before 6 p.m. in the city’s Stinson neighbourhood.

Police said the 39-year-old victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the area of Tisdale St. South and Erie Ave.

Police said the man was “dumped” out of a vehicle and left in the area.

Hamilton police say detectives worked throughout the night to identify suspects.

They say a dark sedan was seen leaving the area.

This is the city’s first homicide in 2022.
