Hamilton police seize gun, drugs after man arrested

Hamilton police have seized a firearm and large amounts of drugs following the arrest of a 29-year-old man.

Officers received a call of a man with a weapon in the area of Main St. East and Wexford Ave. around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 31.

Police responded to the area and found the person holding the weapon, officers say they safely arrested him.

During the investigation, police found a firearm, a large amount of illegal drugs and money in the man’s possession.

A slew of items have been seized including hash, fentanyl, cocaine, crystal meth, Canadian and Czech currency.

The man is facing 12 charges including firearm and drug charges.

Police have not identified the man.
