Hamilton police seize gun and drugs in stolen vehicle investigation, two men arrested

Hamilton police have arrested two people and seized a semi-automatic handgun and a large quantity of drugs as part of a stolen vehicle investigation.

On March 14, investigators followed a car that was reported stolen to a business on Plains Road in Burlington.

While searching the car, police found a loaded semi-automatic handgun, over 100 rounds of ammunition, and large quantities of fentanyl, cocaine and hydromorphone pills.

Maurice Caissy, 44, of Woodstock and Andrew Gawrylash, 36, of Hamilton have been arrested and face numerous charges in relation to this investigation.
