Hamilton police seek man accused of punching elderly woman

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly punched an elderly woman in the face Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators say the assault happened at the intersection of Upper Gage Ave. and Fennell Ave. East around 1:35 p.m.
Police describe the man as being white, approximately 30 years old, around 5’9” tall with a thick build.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with a reflective “X” on the chest and back.
The woman told police she had no interaction with the assailant and does not know him.
Officers are asking drivers to check their dash cameras, and homeowners to review any camera footage they may have during that time.
