Body of missing Hamilton woman found

Update: Hamilton police ACTION team have located the body of Alix Copley. She was found on the rail trail just west of the Albion Falls parking lot. Police are not investigating this as suspicious and thank the public for their assistance.

Hamilton police are searching for a woman who went missing in East Hamilton yesterday morning.

Alix Copley, 33, lives around King Street and Kenilworth and a woman that lives near there believes she saw Copley leave her home and walk down King Street East around 10 a.m.

Copley has long red hair. She’ s about 5’5″ and weighs approximately 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, black pants and flip flops. And she might also be carrying a dark backpack with hearts on it.

Police say its not out of character for her to go missing, but are concerned for her mental well being.
