Hamilton police search for missing hospital patient

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who went missing from a Hamilton Mountain hospital over the weekend.

Police say Thomas Hart, 59, left St. Joseph’s Hospital at 100 West 5th St. around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. They say hospital staff immediately notified police when he went missing.

Investigators say Hart is currently an involuntary patient in the forensic program at the hospital.

He is described as being six-feet tall, with short grey hair and a short, grey “scruffy” beard. Hart was wearing a white sweater with blue stripes, a black ACDC shirt, grey sweatpants, a blue and white winter coat with fur trim and black and yellow running shoes.

Anyone who sees him or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call police.
