Hamilton Police say victim in Sunday morning stabbing on the mountain has died

Hamilton Police say a man stabbed early Sunday morning has died, making him the city’s 17th homicide victim of the year.
Police received a 911 call about a stabbing in the area of East 27th St. and Concession St. around 6 a.m. on Sunday.
Michael White, 42, was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. He later died.
White was a life-long resident of the city.
“He is deeply missed by his family and friends. His family are requesting privacy at this time as they grieve the loss of their son, father and grandfather,” said a Hamilton police news release.
Police say detectives continue to review surveillance video and conduct interviews.
They are looking for two men, last seen travelling in a blue or dark-coloured SUV-style, believed to be a Kia cube.
Police say they have seized a vehicle believed to be the one involved in this homicide.
